Dir: Sachin Ghimire & Arun D Joshi Dur: 50 mins Synopsis Diyalee is a story of a village called "Thokarpa" in Sindhupalchowk district in central Nepal. An illiterate village woman's struggle to make her village educated. A film about marginalized Pahari community of Nepal. Diyalee is a story of a woman in the village, fond of singing and popular among the villagers. As she could not study despite of her eternal desire, she advocates about education in the village. She is helping hand in day to day problems of the village. This film is the example of participatory visual ethnography. All first time actors enact their real life in a real setting of their own village. Sachin Ghimire and Arun D Joshi has jointly directed this film for Conscious Media Forum in association with Save the Children. This film has been selected for South Asian Film festival (2012), Delhi International Film Festival (2013), Kathmandu International Human Rights Film Festival ( 2013) . In addition, Diyalee has been presented as a research paper in two international conferences organized by Jawaharlal Nehru Univeristy , New Delhi and also as a multimedia presentation in the " encounters and engagement , setting agenda of medical anthropology in 21st century" , international conference held in Universitat Rovira I Virgili, Spain.
